Why did we do this?
We are all grateful for our KHS experience, and want to give back.
Why didn't we just donate to KHS foundation?
We had meetings with the new leadership of KHS Foundation. We asked if we could create a team of donors that came together to raise money and help a kid that we feel is deserving and meets our mission statement.
They replied that in order to achieve this, we would fall into their named scholarship category, there would be a minimum $25,000 donation and we would not be able to provide any input on the recipient of the award. We begged, we pleaded, they stopped returning our phone calls.
What are we asking?
Our goal is $100,000 to fund these scholarships.
I am starting the fund off with a $5000 contribution.
Please donate $10 or $10,000
Every dollar will continue to earn dividends perpetually
and send kids to college or trade school for generations.
Who is in charge of the money?
The money is held in a Charles Schwab investment account managed by KHS Grad Tim Schulze at Pioneer Wealth Management.
Who decides who get the scholarship award?
All financial contributors will received 1 vote per dollar of contribution.
$10 = 10 votes
$100 = $100 votes
Is this tax deductible?
Heck yes. I want my to write off my donation and i know you do too.
We have received our federal EIN from the IRS,
We are officially incorporated,
We have applied for our 501 (C) 3
and we will provide all donors with that info prior to tax time.
We are grateful for your contribution.
